Putting On A Fresh New Face: Four Types Of Facials And What Each Does For You

Blog

Facials have become synonymous with spa treatments. You cannot really go to a spa and not get a facial. (Well, you could, but it is usually part of most spa packages.) Yet, do you know what kinds of facials are available? More importantly, are you aware of what each kind of facial does? You might benefit more from one type of facial than another type. Here are the four kinds of facials and what each does for your skin.

Exfoliating Mask Facial

This may also be called a "microdermabrasion" if any sort of want or laser is used before or after masking. Otherwise, it is just a mask applied to your whole face, carefully avoiding the eye area and the lips. It is typically very gritty, containing sand, crushed sea or nut shells, or some other au naturel gritty product. It is allowed to sit on your face until it hardens, and then your facial expert washes it off by using a wet washcloth and upward, circular motions. This facial removes a lot of dead skin cells that can make you look haggard and old.

Cleansing Facial

A really thorough cleansing job is the object of this facial. Cleansers and masks are used together to open pores, remove as much sebum, acne infections, dead cells, and grime as they can. The result is clearer, more even-toned, and fresher-feeling skin.

Pore-Tightening Facial

Some people are just born with the genetics of big pores, but the good news is that you can fight those big pores. A pore-tightening facial is often combined with a cleansing facial to first thoroughly clean your face and then tighten pores in the T-zone (i.e., the forehead, nose, and chin, where big pores tend to develop). Seaweed and toners are common pore tighteners. The seaweed is similar to the stuff used for an entire body wrap, and the toners are alcohol-free, naturally based products that cause your pores to react to the agents in these products.

Skin Calming and Refreshing Facial

Some people have very sensitive skin. For them, some facials might be too much. That is why a calming and refreshing facial was developed. People with sensitive or recently sunburnt skin can still enjoy a facial when these tested products and facial services are proven to alleviate inflammation in the skin and not invoke a hypersensitive reaction. The result is skin that is less red, less inflamed, and more fresh-feeling.

Exploring The Value Of Spa And Salon Trips

Hello, my name is Ken. Welcome. I am excited to share my knowledge about spas and salons on this site. I started going to the spa with my mother during my teen years. The spa trips helped us heal from a shaky situation that depleted our mental reserves. I found the value of the spa visits within just a few moments of arriving. I now treat my family to frequent trips to the spa and salon to rejuvenate their spirits. I hope to inspire you to enjoy trips to these amazing venues on your own or with family and friends. Thanks.
